Katie Walter worked in marketing and communications at Thomson Reuters for 16 years before starting Trellis in 2019. In her time at Thomson Reuters, Katie developed a keen sense for communicating with customers - directly and through a sales channel. She counseled leaders on effective employee engagement and authentic communications that led to high levels of employee trust in leadership. She also built a reputation for strategic thinking and effective execution that has helped jumpstart the Trellis business.

Before working at Thomson Reuters, Katie managed campaigns for candidates for the Minnesota State House of Representatives and wrote content for a financial services trade association. Each of these roles - in big organizations and small - has reinforced the value of optimism, curiosity, sincerity, analysis and follow-through. These characteristics inform her work with each Trellis client and result in strong work product that drives business results.
